Polaris by J.C Magic is a modern location and prediction system that transforms an ordinary smartphone compass into an impossible demonstration of invisible influence.
Using the spectator's own phone, Polaris creates the illusion that the compass is no longer pointing north—it is searching for a freely selected target.

Effect
A spectator borrows their own smartphone and opens the Compass app.
Eight cards representing the Wonders of the World are introduced.
One card is freely remembered by the spectator.
The cards are turned face down, mixed thoroughly, and arranged into a circle around the phone.
Everything is handled by the spectator.
The performer explains that a compass always points north because it follows the Earth's magnetic field.
But what if someone could briefly influence that field?
The spectator confirms the compass is pointing north.
Slowly, the compass needle begins to drift.
It moves farther and farther away from north.
The needle appears to search...
Until it finally locks onto one card.
The spectator picks up their own phone.
No matter how they rotate or move it, the compass continues pointing toward that exact card.
When the card is turned over, it is revealed to be the very Wonder they freely remembered.
Finally, with a simple gesture, the magnetic field seems to return to normal.
The compass once again points naturally toward true north.
